As these properties were previously developed, restoration activities will take place to re-establish native vegetation, remove invasive species, and limit manmade structures.
The properties are protected by a Conservation Easement, which prescribes a Management Plan. The Plan was created and is directed by the Foothills Land Trust and the M.D. of Foothills, and prohibits certain activities. For the health of the land, access is allowed through approved Society activities. The Society plans to provide fun and educational opportunities for us to responsibly steward our environment!
As prescribed in the Management Plan, the health of the properties is increased and maintained through monitoring. The Society will monitor vegetation and wildlife through Citizen Science programs, which is a great way for the community to get involved!
